Meals & Accomodations
Your adventure begins in Dar es Salaam, where you depart early in the morning heading southwest toward the Selous Game Reserve, one of Africa’s largest protected wilderness areas. Whether by road or flight, the journey takes you through diverse Tanzanian landscapes, from coastal towns to rural villages. Upon arrival in Selous, you check into your lodge or tented camp nestled deep within the bush. After lunch and some rest, you set out on a scenic boat safari along the Rufiji River. This tranquil cruise offers close encounters with hippos, crocodiles, and a colorful array of bird species, all while the sun dips below the horizon. You return to camp for a delicious dinner and your first night in the wild.
Today is devoted entirely to exploring the vast and untamed Selous ecosystem. You rise early for a morning game drive, when wildlife is most active. With luck, you’ll spot lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and even the elusive African wild dog. Selous is known for its remote, off-the-beaten-path feel, offering fewer crowds and more intimate wildlife sightings. After returning to the lodge for lunch and relaxation, you may opt for a walking safari with an armed guide, gaining insight into the smaller details of the bush—tracks, plants, and insects. You end the day around the campfire, sharing stories under a star-studded sky.
After breakfast, walking safaris, the most exciting experience, unique in Tanzania , accompanied by rangers armed for about 2hrs and drive back to Dar es salaam
In the morning, you explore the Kondoa Rock Art Sites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring remarkable prehistoric cave paintings. These sacred images, painted by ancient hunter-gatherers and pastoralists, reflect spiritual beliefs and daily life over thousands of years. After the visit, you set off on a scenic drive through Babati and Mbulu toward the Ngorongoro Highlands. The landscape transforms from dry bush to lush hills and volcanic ridges as you approach Lake Manyara. You check in to Ngare Lodge, tucked near the escarpment, and enjoy a peaceful evening with panoramic views.
At dawn, you head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder teeming with wildlife. Your half-day safari takes you across this ancient caldera’s floor, where you can spot black rhinos, lions, elephants, and flamingos. After a picnic lunch in the crater, you ascend and return to the Lake Manyara region. The rest of the afternoon is spent unwinding at Ngare Lodge, or enjoying optional activities like a short village visit or nature walk. It’s a perfect balance of adventure and relaxation.
After breakfast, you make your way to Tarangire National Park, known for its majestic baobab trees and large elephant populations. A half-day game drive leads you through the park’s varied terrain, from riverine woodlands to open grasslands, where you may see lions, leopards, and large herds of buffalo. Tarangire is particularly impressive during the dry season, when wildlife concentrates along the Tarangire River. In the late afternoon, you exit the park and drive toward the Arusha region, staying overnight in a nearby lodge to prepare for your departure the next day.
Your final day in Tanzania begins with a leisurely breakfast. You then take a scenic drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), reflecting on the incredible landscapes, rich cultures, and unforgettable wildlife experiences of the past week. Arriving at the airport in the afternoon, you prepare for your onward journey or flight home, carrying with you lasting memories of Tanzania’s diverse natural and cultural treasures.

EXCELLENT Based on 52 reviews Posted on Laetitia BVerified Maassai village and Stonetown tour We experienced a fantastic moment in a Maassai village where we could witness their way of living. They were very friendly. We also did a tour of Stonetown with a very friendly guide who taught us many things about this city. I can only recommend this guide tour, Thomas is very thoughtful (he even gave us a nice gift), helpful and quick to respond. He is very friendly as were the driver and the guide. He also received bottles of water for the excursion which is a very nice touchPosted on ANTONELLA2510Verified Safari fantastico Abbiamo fatto un safari al Serengeti e ngorongoro di 3 giorni e due notti. It was a great experience! Our Guide Davie matched totally to our expectations and even humor. We did already some Safari so we can say that it was all well organized and Davie has great experience, we spotted all big five several times, and our favorite Cheetah:) of course it needs also luck but also experience and good eyes! We had a great week, we started our journey in Serengeti, then Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Tarangire to Arusha and the last day we had a nice walk to the waterfall and coffee plantation closed to Kilimajaro. So Davie picked as up in Seronera airport and dropped us at the Kilimajaro airport. They offer also a good price quality for the great service.Posted on Lisa SVerified Alles super! Posted on Simone NVerified Rundum alles super!!
